Homes for our Troops: Noah Galloway
The hfotusa.org/Galloway project was a chance of a lifetime team oriented adventure with some of the best talent the Birmingham area had to offer. Hfotusa.org builds specially adapted homes for severely injured Post 9/11 veterans all over the country. Our local team was staffed with professional architectural and design assistance from Scott Phillips, AIA and Heidi Core. The volunteer pool also ranged from individual independent contractors like Lee Shepard, Blake Sanders, and Adrian Bond, to mammoth operators such as Brasfield and Gorie, Alabama Power, and Vulcan Materials. We were also shored up by our volunteer pastors, Calvin and Beverly Meadows, and many volunteers for their church. National sponsors for these projects includes Kohler, Certainteed, Whirlpool, Armstrong, and Stanley. Our hfotusa.org Cadre and Project manager, John Robicheau, were wonderful to work with and helped us all keep focused through the summer long build out.
